As can be expected the VoIP blogosphere (as well as the political blogs) are exploding over news that Michael Powell will be stepping down as FCC commissioner. Powell was quite popular in the VoIP community for his hands-off approach toward the nascent VoIP industry, but the same can't be said for the general population as the FCC stepped up enforcement of decency laws after the Janet Jackson fiasco last year.

As far as I know there is no truth to the rumor that "The Colin & Michael Powell" show will be replacing Howard Stern on Infinity-owned stations when Stern moves to Sirius next year.
