Broadband Blog: SIP: Fun and Frolic

The Broadband Blog posted a great overview of SIP from a consumer/end-user perspective which can be found at:

The Broadband Blog » SIP: Fun and Frolics in Communications

Some interesting comments as well - the first of which echoes something I've been saying for a long time, true peer-to-peer open SIP-based communications simply will not be viable without a way to develop a trusted identification system.  The idea that folks will put a SIP client on their desktop and open it to the world just won't fly in today's world where users are increasingly becoming frustrated with open applications such as e-mail and SMS.
